Organized by UN-Habitat and the Ministry of National Territory, Urban Planning, Housing and City Policy in partnership with key Moroccan land stakeholders, UNESCWA, UNECA, League of Arab States, World Bank, BMZ and RVO, the event marks a significant step toward enhancing land governance for the realization of social, economic, environmental, and peace benefits in the Arab region.

Participants will explore innovative approaches and new research to guide decision-making and strengthen high-level commitments to investing in the land sector. The conference will cover a wide range of land-related topics, including land for housing and slum transformation, land-based financing solutions, smart and innovative land management and property registration, sustainable investment strategies, women's access to land, housing, land, and property solutions for displacement and crises, land's role in food security and climate action, unlocking the potential of the private sector, and more. The final list of themes will be available online in the coming days.

Submissions for papers and proposals for partner-led sessions are also open, with a deadline of November the 15th 2024. Academia, professionals, researchers, practitioners, and organizations active in the field are encouraged to submit their contributions. Women and youth are particularly encouraged to participate.
