Women and land access rights in North Africa

The Network of Excellence on Land Governance in North Africa (NELGA NA) is pleased to announce the organisation of a Webinar on "Women and land access rights in North Africa”, on Thursday, 28th March 2024, starting at 10 AM (GMT). 

Indeed, the issues of equity and equal opportunities for women with regards to their land access rights are essential to sustainable development, as they make a major contribution to the establishment of an inclusive and equitable society and to the promotion of a prosperous economic and social development. Holding this webinar is of particular importance to NELGA NA that wishes to be part of this year's celebration of the International Women’s Day on March 8, under the theme “Investing in women: accelerate progress".

This webinar will be an opportunity to share the encountered challenges, the best practices of some North African countries, and end with useful recommendations for the region's current dynamics.
