The latest issue of Land Times no. 31 أحوال الأرض (رقم 31)  focuses on displacement and remedy within the framework of international norms, both in the Middle East/North Africa and across regions and development processes. Civil society efforts during the period involve monitoring and documenting displacement, quantifying its impacts and advocating remedies to which the victims are entitled.

Among the remedies are restorative justice and reparations for the costs, losses and damage, which call for international criminal liability of perpetrators. The Terminology Corner provides the definitions of those standards applicable to ongoing cases of large-scale habitat-related human rights violations in Kashmir, Lebanon, Palestine, Sudan, Syria, Western Sahara and Yemen featured in this issue. This LT issue no. 31 also links international law obligations of states that simultaneously with their development and climate commitments.
