Women and land access rights in North Africa

The Network of Excellence on Land Governance in North Africa (NELGA NA) was pleased to announce the organization of a webinar on "Women and Land Access Rights in North Africa," which took place on Thursday, 28th March 2024, starting at 10 AM (GMT).

The issues of equity and equal opportunities for women regarding their land access rights are essential to sustainable development, as they contribute significantly to establishing an inclusive and equitable society and promoting prosperous economic and social development. Holding this webinar was particularly important to NELGA NA, as it aligned with this year's celebration of International Women’s Day on March 8, under the theme “Investing in Women: Accelerate Progress."

The webinar provided an opportunity to discuss the challenges faced, share best practices from North African countries, and conclude with valuable recommendations for the region's current dynamics.
