The Arab States Modern Land Administration for Sustainable Development Forum
Summary
The Arab Land Initiative will convene the Arab States Modern Land Administration for Sustainable Development Forum in Amman, Jordan.
Organized by the Jordanian Department of Land and Survey (DLS), in partnership with the Netherlands’ Cadastre, Land Registry and Mapping Agency (Kadaster), in the context of achieving the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, and in follow-up to the First Arab Land Conference in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE) in 2018, the Forum provides a platform for debate on the future of land administration in a sustainable and fit-for-purpose land administration system that suits the needs of society and environment as a whole.
The key themes of the Forum include: land policies for social and economic development; law for modern land administration; data acquisition in fit-for-purpose approaches; data sharing; and financing modern land administration.
