Expert Group Meeting (EGM) on Housing, Land and Property (HLP) in Palestine
Summary
The UN-Habitat in Palestine held its first Expert Group Meeting (EGM) on Housing, Land and Property (HLP) in the occupied Palestinian territory at Al-Carmel Hotel in Ramallah, Palestine from 14-15 September 2021.
The EGM has been organized within the ambit of the “Achieving Planning and Land Rights in Area C, West Bank, Palestine” project in partnership with the Land and Water Settlement Commission (LWSC) and the Global Land Tool Network (GLTN), and funded by the European Union.
This EGM brought together experts from the field to introduce ideas related to HLP that analyze potential solutions, address potential risks in Palestine, as well as regional and international approaches and practices that have proven successful in increasing access to land and housing.
The event allowed both onsite and virtual participation for panelists, presenters, and participants in all sessions.
