Land rights in Darfur: Institutional flexibility, policy and adaptation to environmental change
The analysis looks at how changes in land resource rights relationships have been dealt with historically, as adaptation developed. The paper shows that communities most affected by environmental change will pursue their own forms of adaptation whether or not they are assisted by state and international efforts. The writers conclude by emphasising on well thought out approaches and policies in order for their impacts to be beneficial for the Sudanese population and its authorities.
