Call for Partner-Led Events Opens for World Urban Forum 13
Applications are now open for partner-led events at the thirteenth session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13), which will take place in Baku, Azerbaijan, from 17 to 22 May 2026. Convened by UN-Habitat and co-hosted by the Government of Azerbaijan, WUF13 will be held under the theme “Housing the World: Safe and Resilient Cities and Communities.”
The World Urban Forum is a global platform that brings together governments, the private sector, civil society, grassroots organizations, academia, and community representatives to exchange knowledge, share solutions, and build partnerships for sustainable urbanization. At the heart of WUF, partner-led events provide a unique space for stakeholders from around the world to showcase experiences, innovations, and practical approaches.
UN-Habitat encourages partners to use WUF13 to highlight progress and lessons learned on urban-rural linkages and territorial development. The UN-Habita teams are available to support partners through co-organization, speaking opportunities, suggestions of speakers, and technical inputs to strengthen event proposals.
Partners are invited to apply to host one of seven types of events: Networking Events, One UN, SDGs in Action, Urban Cinema, Urban Library, Voices from Cities, and the WUF Academy. Interested organizations are encouraged to register for WUF13 through the following link https://events.unhabitat.org/ and submit their partner-led event ideas through WUF 13 Partner-Led Event application form. The application window will close on 27 January 2026.
We look forward to strong collaboration and dynamic engagement at WUF13 and will share further updates as they become available.
